3. Another tip on training a Yorkie is to praise them when they've done something good. If you tell your dog to sit or stay and they do it, be sure to tell them they're a good dog. Yorkies love this. They crave that attention and praise.

4. Minimizing distractions are another tip. Make sure there aren't a lot of people or other animals around when you are training your Yorkie. Your dog will lose focus if it's distracted.

5. The fifth tip on training Yorkies is to train your dog yourself. This will help you in many ways. By training your dog yourself, you and your dog will form a bond that can't be broken. Also, your Yorkie will began learning and following other commands from you at a faster rate.
